I ordered 5 of them and had to return 3 because they were severely damaged. They could have easily been packaged better to withstand the touch treatment of the delivery company, but all it had was thin cardboard and styrofoam corners that had broken to pieces. The unit itself looks good from 6’ away. Up close you can clearly tell it’s just a veneered particle board. The drawer functions are good. And the unit is quite sturdy and very heavy—something you want in furniture, of course.Some of the reviews for this dresser were mixed, and I was going to go with another piece that was cheaper, but those reviews were talking about how horrible the assembly was. Now, the decided factor for me was that I really hate putting together furniture. Also, another reviewer had some great photos of the dresser "in use" I guess you can say. I really like that the dresser is tall and slim, it doesn't look as bulky as other dressers do.This dresser is a pretty much perfect fit into my bedroom and it doesn't take up a lot of space. The drawers are very deep and the middle drawers that are 2 in 1 are very accommodating. I had some fabric boxes from target that I put in both of those drawers to create different sections. I don't even fully utilize the bottom 2 drawers, this unit fits everything great!The only problem I had with this dresser is that the right sided "double drawer" rolling hinge was not in place. What I mean is, where it screws into the side of the dresser, the hole was a bit bigger, it looked like it was damaged, but there was no outside damage to the dresser. I looked at the other drawers and there is essentially 1 screw and then a wood peg that they have glued in. I fixed it myself with some Gorilla Wood Glue and clamped it in, then let it dry for 24 hours and it's fixed up. I was pretty annoyed that I had to repair something that 1) costs as much as this did, 2) was brand new. I considered asking to exchange it, but I didn't want to wait for a new dresser. It's been a couple months now and my repair is holding fine, and that's with a drawer full of stuff.The delivery was just getting it in the door, FYI. The guy did go through my garage, since it was a lot easier. Be careful because my package had some staples that drug a bit on my hardwood floors and did cause some scratching before I noticed it. There is also a lot of cardboard and packaging to toss or recycle, have a box cutter handy to break it all down. Other than that, it's simply attaching the handles and you are good to go!I do think that this dresser is worth the investment, and the repair I had to do was a quick fix, but if you don't want to deal with that, then make sure you open it up and inspect the dresser while the delivery guy is there. I did notice the dresser drawer when he was there, but I thought it was not inserted properly. Just a heads up to inspect the merch!I bought 3 Zelen Warm Gray pieces and I've lazily copied my review from the two drawer night stand and just made a few edits -- but this is a real review and all the furniture is perfect after a few months of use...For the price and the declared materials of construction, I was expecting a mediocre piece of flat pack furniture that would show up banged up and broken. Then I expected a two month long fight to get a replacement or replacements parts. Then, of course, I expected that it would take an hour to assemble and that it would become structurally less stable every time it was moved to clean around it ... I've been down this road before, but who wants to spend $1000+ on a night stand from ABC? I'm just going to spill wine and candle wax all over it.OH MY, WAS I WRONG! This little beaut comes intact, well packed, pre-built and all you have to do is screw on the handles (handles are metal). It seems very sturdy. The veneer is an attractive gray and seems quite tough. Don't get me wrong, this is budget furniture, there's no solid wood here. But, it's just what I needed and I'm very happy I took a gamble on buying from this line of furniture on the net. Two thumbs up. This product is vastly superior to the flimsy and overpriced garbage they peddle at West Elm (I also don't fancy your chances of getting FREE SHIPPING from those muppets either).Note that this is a 7 drawer unit, the design makes it look like it has 9, but that's just the aesthetic. The bottom drawers are very deep.I had one issue with this item. It arrived with a handle missing. I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement. It took about a week but no big deal.I am happy with my purchase. Delivery was easy. I had to put the handles on the drawers, but this was easy to do. The dresser is sturdy and goes great in my room. It came a day earlier than expected. This is a great purchase.I am partial to leaving a review.The dresser itself is very pretty. I love the wood grain and the gray color-ish color, it goes great in our nursery. The drawers are sturdy and the hardware is very nice. While I absolutely love the dresser and it is very gorgeous. The manufacture (Ashley Furniture) has been extremely difficult. The dresser arrived already assembled and one of the drawer faces had a large chip in it. We tried to make it easy for everyon by just seeing if we could get a replacement drawer but apparently that is not a thing. So they had up pack up the entire dresser and ship it back so a new one could be delivered. The delivery arrived an entire week after it said it was supposed to be here which was very disappointing, even though Amazon had it marked as delivered, it wasn't in our possession at all. So we had to contact the freight carrier that was handling the shipping and they didn't even have the item in their itinerary to be shipping for another week.The color, size and weight of the dresser is great. The drawers however put a damper on things. One drawer, the biggest in the middle, is warped a bit so sticks out on the top left corner. Another drawer sticks so not the easiest to open and close. I purchased two nightstands as well and this happens with a drawer on one of the night stands too. Was looking not to spend a lot of money for a kids room that will only need it a few more years. The two drawers that stick may loosen up and the can be dealt with my biggest disappointment was the warp in the one drawer. With that said, I can't see this happening with all the dressers so would recommend the purchase
